Together ~ Dusty Attic

It's October and fall is on it's way. A perfect time to scrap those Spring and Summer photos! Today I have a layout to share with a pic of my son and his youngest cousin, playing football together. I love watching these two play, there's 8 years between them, but they have so much fun!

I have once again scrapped with Lemoncraft papers - such beautiful, romantic papers, and they suit Dusty Attic chipboard so well!

These are the Dusty Attic products I used for this page:

I  adore the new Dusty Attic stencils and Texture Paste! Fantastic paste, so easy to work with and dries quickly! Anyway, I started my page with the Fan Stencil and some Texture Paste. After it had dried, I misted lightly with a pink mist.

Then I painted the Lacey Nameplate, two pieces of the Ornamental Trim Set and the smallest of the String of Hearts Frame, with white gesso. I then layered these pieces, as you can see in the photo below:

I also added a couple of resin pieces, to get even more dimension. Then I just added flowers and cut-out clocks. Finally, the title "Together", from Word Pack #10, was painted white and glued into place.

Here are some close-ups for you:

You are fantastic ~ Dusty Attic

I just love this months inspiration board from Dusty Attic! Perfect colors for me!! And just look at that photo - don't you want to be right there, right now?! I know I do!

Here's what I have created:

I have used papers from Lemoncraft, just perfect for this moodboard. I created the background using papers, mists, stamps and washi tape.

After layering pieces of paper, I put the Decorative Frame #1 (DA0207) on top of the resin frame from Prima. I did the same thing on the bottom left of my page, only with the mini Decorative Frame and a mini resin frame. All the chippies on this page was painted white, then I added some pink mist here and there as a finish.

Some close-ups:

Used the Foliage #5 (DA1295) in my large flower cluster.

The title chippie "Fantastic" is from the Wordpack #13 (DA1269). Amazing font!

Remember Today ~ Dusty Attic

Hi there! I have a soft and romantic page to share today. When I got the Elegant Pearls (DA1336) and Lacey Heart Frames (DA1211) in my hands, it was instant love! I decided to use all the Lacey Heart Frames on this layout, and since I wanted this layout to go in pink and yellow, i painted the hearts with Dusty in Color, Sunshine, and finished them off with Clear Gloss Varnish.

The title "Remember Today" I painted white. I adore Dusty Attics words and titles - there are so many to choose from!

Foliage #4 (DA1294) tucked in my flower clusters:

I cut the Elegant Pearls chippie in two pieces. I painted them white and added some pearls in pink and gold.

This Friendship ~ Swirlydoos

Hi everybody! I have been working some more with the amazing July kit, Belle Fleur, and have one more layout to share. I simply adored this kit!!

And, this will also be my last DT-project for Swirlydoos. I have had so much fun designing for this fantastic kit club, the best kit club ever!! I will continue as a member of the club and hang around the forum, so this is not a good bye.

Anyway, here is my layout:

I did a lot of paper layering, stamping, misting, stenciling and painting on this page. The chipboard gates was painted white, stamped on using the stamp from the embellie add-on, and finally painted with clear gloss varnish.

A couple of close-ups for you:

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have got some inspiration!

Escape ~ Dusty Attic

Hi! Today I'm sharing a layout created using the August inspiration board from Dusty Attic. Amazing colors this month!! I love purple, and decided to go with those colors, adding some yellow and black accents.

The photo is of our little puppy, when she was just a couple of months old. She loved to escape - took every chance :)

The Arch Window (DA0570) I painted with Dusty Attic in colour (soot), misted with gold mist and finished off with Dusty Attic Clear gloss varnish. I cut the windows and opened them, creating a view of our little puppy running in the garden.

I have used the beautiful Spring Blooms #4 (DA1287). I painted this chippie with Dusty in Color Lavender Blush, Raisin and Hot Chocolate, finished with Clear Gloss Varnish.

Tucked in under the flowers you can spot Foliage #4 (DA1294), painted with Dusty in Colour Cashmere and Clear Gloss Varnish. The title Escape (DA1266) was treated the same way. I love how the yellow pops on the black and purple here!

I have used a couple of Dusty in Blooms too, Evening Blush (DA0808).

Thank you for stopping by today!

Exhale ~ Dusty Att

Hi everybody! It's summer, so I thought I'd share a layout with a summer photo. I took this a few years ago, it's of my daughter in the lake at our family summer house. This photo went so well with this months inspiration board. In case you haven't seen it, here it is:

Such an amazing photo to be inspired by, and the colors are fantastic! Don't forget to play along, just upload your project on the Dusty Attic blog :)

Here's my page:

The Monarch Butterflies (DA0819) are amazing, just as they are, but I decided to make them stand out even more, and be the main embellishment on my layout.

To make them 3-dimensional you have to soak them in water and divide the wings. If you are careful you can make three or more layers. I made three with these two. When dried, I painted them with white gesso and then with three colors of Dusty in Colour: Capri, Pesto and Gingernut. I finished them off with Clear Gloss Varnish.

Close-ups:

I also used the title Exhale (From Word pack #10, DA1266), just painted white.

Tucked into the flowers I put Foliage #5 (DA1295), painted with Dusty in Colour Hot Chocolate and Clear Gloss Varnish.

Thanks for stopping by today!

We have some absolutely beautiful scrapbook projects for you to see today !!

Here are my projects!

First, my sketch page. This months sketch was so much fun to work with, I had tons of ideas and knew I had to do some layering of both papers and flowers :)

Here's the sketch:

Here's my page:

I used  some of the journaling cards to create a layered photo mat, and then layered lots of the amazing flowers from the floral add-on. I did some stamping in the background, using the beautiful stamp from the embellie add-on.

My next page is with a photo of my darling niece,Julia.

Used one of the BFS papers as a background, and a piece of a Prima paper in the middle. Tied a string all around and then used it to "hold" some of the flowers and my photo. Amazing flowers in this kit and floral add-on!!

I tucked the lace into the little Prima box, from the embellie add-on, and just let it peek out.

My third layout is more mixed media and I had lots of fun creating this one!

I have some tips for you, on how I made some of the things on this page:

For my background I used one of the Prima papers. I painted it with white gesso, used a stencil and clear gesso, and then misted with pink mist. I have used paper pieces from the kit, plus leftovers from Prima flower packages (I always keep the nice ones, perfect for layering!). Before adding the last piece of paper and my photo, I glued the string of pearls. This way I got fantastic dimension and also some pearls peeking out later. The small pearl rows are from a previous kit.

The Prima flowers with baby heads didn't fit my page as a wanted to, so I decided to pull them apart. I folded the flower layers, got four of these, and tucked them under my papers. I put one flower on the side. I added the baby faces later in the process.

Some close-ups for you!

Did some painting and splattering with the pink mist after everything was glued into place. Added some bits and bobs from previous kits, as well as some flowers from my stash.

Finally, I have two cards to show you!

For my first card, I cut out two of the beautiful dresses from one of the Prima papers. I then simply added a couple of flowers, two clothes pins (from a previous kit) and a wood piece.

For this card i used the beautiful fan chipboard piece. I painted it with white gesso and the clear gloss varnish.
